Though I had been accepted into Boston University School of Law, I had not set foot in Boston since leaving to come East.
Now, a few days before school started, I packed my stuff into my blue Audi Fox and drove to Boston. I had no idea where I'd be living, but I had it in my mind that I would find something. I went to the law school (I think) or maybe the student union and found a bulletin board with postings looking for roommates. I noted down a few and then started to try and find my way around to find the locations. I think that 526 Harvard Street in Brookline was the first one I stopped at. It didn't take the two guys who shared the apartment long to decide. It was Steve (or was it Bob) Woodley (?) and Wayne Bugg. They were a strange pair. (But that, as they say, is another story.) So, in a few hours of arriving, I had a place to stay. |
